Thompson Okanagan Network of Arts Councils (TONAC)

TONAC was born out of the dissolution of the Okanagan Mainline Regional Arts Council (OMRAC). The board of OMRAC dissolved in order to get rid of the structure and regulations that boards are required to maintain, and instead have an informal group that meets less regularly but continues to support each other.

Funds left over from OMRAC are held with the Shuswap Community Foundation and are earmarked to fund an annual meeting of arts councils in which arts councils share resources, stories and strengthen ties and network between arts councils in our region.
