ARTSCO Community Gallery
In Between Worlds, Sandra Cook, the artist known as S.C. Jean invites us into a dreamlike landscape shaped by feeling. Each painting in this series—created in 2012 without formal training or a preconceived plan—emerged through an intuitive process of discovery. Nature appears throughout: wild and burning, soft and surreal, hinting at worlds both real and imagined.
Through Between Worlds, she hopes to share her work with the community, spark reflection, and gather insight from those moved by these pieces.
S.C. Jean never envisioned herself as an artist. It was a connection with a friend that opened the door to painting, and since then, her work has become a personal and emotional outlet. She paints from her home, guided by instinct, memory, and mood. Her works evoke a sense of magical realism—where flora and fauna twist into new forms, and each canvas feels like a portal to another world.
