In the exhibition Cosmic Toothache the artist Bree Apperley has created multi-media works which represent the compromised and ephemeral nature of modern life. With pieces that touch on themes of femininity, technological reproducibility, crass consumption and our exploitative relationship to nature, Apperley tries to tease out a sense of joyous abandon facing the futility of our contemporary meaning-making.
