Lecture & Demo: Golden Artist Colours

The Golden lecture and demonstration is a two-hour educational presentation on Golden acrylic paints and all the related mediums, gels and pastes!

Presented by Golden artist Shari Pratt, the lecture will cover technical and practical information on all of Golden Artist Colours products from acrylic paint to gels, pastes and grounds, as well as introduce Golden’s newest products, QoR Watercolors, High Flow Acrylics and the Open Acrylics.

Shari will also demonstrate various acrylic materials and techniques to enrich your understanding of the medium, including basic tips for exciting textures using gels and pastes, as well as how to extend paint to save money.

Each attendee will receive a bag of FREE PAINT SAMPLES to take home!

 As an artist, Shari considers herself a mixed-media figurative acrylic painter. She is currently interested in the correlation between the built surface and traditional figurative painting. A strange, almost haunting, feeling is found in her subjects who draw in and captivate viewers. 

Shari Pratt  is currently pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts at the Vermont College of Fine Arts majoring in painting and installation. She also holds a Bachelor of Art Education Major from the University of British Columbia. Shari has shown in numerous Solo and Group Exhibitions throughout BC, Canada, and the United States. She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Portrait Society of Canada. Shari has won many awards including the Alex Colville Award for Excellence in Acrylic Painting and the British Columbia Arts Council Scholarship Award. Shari is part of the  Working Artist Program for Golden Artist Colours. Her work is influenced by artists such as Alice Neel, Gerhard Richter and Sophie Jodoin as well as photographers such as Vivian Maier and Diane Arbus
