Originally from the city of Penticton, nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, Shayla Ritchie grew up surrounded by a vibrant artistic community. She is currently on the board of directors at the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art and curates a number of exhibitions in and around the Kelowna art community.
Shay is currently completing her Bachelor of Visual Arts at UBC Okanagan. She has always drawn inspiration from nature and the process of urbanization is prominent throughout her recent works.
